Nonsense4

Hogwash.
Well, actually, wishful thinking by either the willfully, or not-so-willfully, ignorant.
But don't take just my word on it: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=myth+of+the+negative+calorie+food2 -
Not true at all1

No, no, no. Don't believe this ridiculous nonsense.2

This is not only nonsense but a really weird list, since some of these foods are not low particularly low calorie. I'm used to seeing asparagus and celery on this sort of list, but oranges and apricots? Beets and onions, which have substantial natural sugar?
This is a nice list of nutritious foods which most people would benefit from eating more often, but you do need to pay attention to portion size and log correctly.0 -
This negative calorie idea is the kind of stuff that comes out of fad diets, drinking apple cider vinegar, detoxes.
It is not true that you could eat a ton of those foods and your body will just use all the calories just to digest the food
A clue that they don't even believe it is that they say to eat the foods in moderation to get the zero calorie effect. If your body really burned all the calories of these foods digesting them it would not matter if you ate 1 or 10.
If you wish to lose weight you will not help yourself by believing any food is zero/negative calorie. .
Vegetables and fruits are lower calorie than a cheeseburger. You could eat a lot more apple for the same calories as a cheeseburger but they all count. If you are counting calories track all food.

Man, I wish it were true - the stuff on the list is a big chunk of my everyday eating!
You'd think I woulda been on the weight loss express, instead of taking almost a year to lose 50-some pounds (at a rate consistent with my foods' listed calorie content).
Bummer. So false. Tasty foods, though!0 -
Now I fancy an apricot.1

The list is dates, mangoes, and potatoes.
Seriously, though. My apples from yesterday: 131 calories.
