5'6 and 150lbs...sedentary lifestyle
want to lose 15 lbs ...around 1.5 lbs/week

how do i input this? it asks me for a breakdown of fat, protein and carbs and i have no idea other than low carb diet usually is best.

    and no, a low carb diet isn't always best - you need to figure out what works the best for you - personally, I do high carb (50-60% of my daily calories)

    also 5'6" and 150lbs is within the normal weight range - so losing 15lbs means you will need to be on point with your logging - and 1.5lbs is likely too aggressive - you should set goal for .5lbs a week

    You need to aim for 0.5lbs per week as you are already a healthy weight.

    MFP tells you a macro breakdown, it doesn't ask you...

    Start with a 40/30/30 breakdown. Aim for good protein sources, and nutrient dense carbs (vegetables). Then listen to your body. Also 1.5Lbs might be to aggressive given how little you have to lose.
