I have started a journey to reduce weight and so far have lost around 8kg, 5 months ago I was 86.7kg, now I am around 78kg. I do this by reducing the number of calories intake by 500 per day. Let us know what worked for you. Also struggling with finding natural foods with high protein and low fats.

What is natural foods, and what is high protein and low fat? Why would you need that? Maybe it will be easier to find something to eat if you look at your dietary needs and then look for foods you like that fulfill those needs, while seeing your diet as a whole.

Thank you for replying, yeah I looked at most of what I eat, and the only things that meet those requirements are eggs, different types of nuts, some fruits, etc... but the issue is that if I have those to increase protein, they are full of sugar and carbs which pushes them even higher. Hope that makes sense. The idea is to lower carbs and fat to increase protein intake so that I gain muscle instead of fat.

There's always a tradeoff; if you want fruit, you have to take the sugar in it, nuts have both fat and protein and carbs, etc. But that doesn't make eating difficult, just complex. You have to look at ALL you eat. No foods are healthy or unhealthy in isolation, in fact, the more varied your diet, the more nutritious it will be.

You lose weight by eating in a consistent calorie deficit. You lose mostly fat by eating in a moderate calorie deficit. You gain muscle by eating in a moderate calorie surplus and following a structured resistance training program.

Eating excessive protein will not make you build muscle, it will be converted to body fat (if you're in a calorie surplus). Carbs and fat will not make you gain weight, unless you're in a calorie surplus, and it will not prevent you from losing weight. Sticking to your calorie target is your primary goal for weightloss. Getting in sufficient amounts of all nutrients, and eating food you like, is necessary to be able to stick to your calorie goal.
