I've had the Polar 4 for the last 3 years but it is just not tracking my runs anymore. It keeps going out during my runs even though i just changed the batteries. Looking for something new that can track my calories during workouts. Something under $100

Mio slice. Love mine. No gps, doesn’t rely on steps, heart rate tracking is very accurate.

The most meaningful way to estimate calories in running is GPS, as distance and bodyweight are the contributing factors. Entry level Garmins might do the trick although they'll stretch the budget a little.

For running I wouldn't waste the money on anything that's not GPS.

Fwiw the Forerunner 35 is the same price as the MIO and does more.

Gen 1 Garmin VivoActive. GPS/HRM(with strap) Can be had New(old stock)/Refurbished around 100. I'd recommend pairing it with a Wahoo HRM... which can sync BLE and ANT+ at the same time.

If you have a Costco membership the Fitbit Charge 2 is going to be on sale November 24-27 for $99.99.
