Is 30 minutes 3 times a week good enough to lose body fat ? If there food intake is decent?

    If your food intake is under control you can lose weight with no exercise. That's how MFP is set up.

    It'll only help insofar as it increases your "CO" number and you remain in your eating deficit overall.

    Cardio just burns more calories than no cardio. In the end it's whether you are in deficit long term or not. To answer your question I had my fastest loss of fat & weight when I was running each weekday and doing a long run on the weekend. I was getting 25 to 30 miles in and the weight melted off. Now I have been struggling to get 15 miles in each week and have put on twenty pounds.
