looking for a Made to Crave accountability partner!

Our women's group started this study 2 weeks ago. I have owned the book forever and never read it! God is nudging me, for sure!! I have a partner in my bible study but she isn't on MFP. She holds me accountable to the homework but not the actual self control vs food control! I want someone on MFP who will look at my diary and give me encouragement and feed back. i want to do the same for you!

First off, I am 5'2" 197 pounds. I was down to 192 and this summer has kicked my butt! I lift weights so I have my calories set at 1500 and I eat back most of my exercise calories. My goal is to get healthy. I can weigh 500 pounds on the scale if I don't look like I weigh that much. I have the how-to down! I need the want-to and the how-to to occur in my brain AT THE SAME TIME! That's going to take GOD!

"Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial" I COrinthians 10:23 That is my mantra right now. I want to eat clean and break my sugar addiction. I use cheats and eat what I want right now. I will still use cheat meals but I want to practice self-control in all meals! That's where I fall by the wayside!!

If anyone wants to go on this journey with me, let me know!! I will send you a friend request or you can send me one!!

    Hi LBNOakland,
Did you find an accountability partner? I am reading Made To Crave and just came to the partner chapter and thought I'd take a chance here at MFP. We may not be a good match but perhaps it is worth exploring.

I have two children who are about your age. I have 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. My birthday is tomorrow - 67 - YIKES, where did the time go. I had lost 24 lbs but gained 2.5 last week. Reading Lysa's book brought me back to sanity eventhough we will be celebrating today.

We have a weekly Bible study at my house. Began with some high school classmates who wanted to study the Word. We are just beginning a new study of prayer. I tell you this because one of the women is really struggling with some emotional issues which result in overeating and now physical issues that are getting serious. I must get back to basics because in counseling her I do not want to be a hypocrite.

Ok, so I have rambled long enough. If you already have a partner that is ok. God will provide. Blessings to you. ~ Lynette Host
