Just wondering...

I’ve noticed while reading various posts quite a few members state this is their 2nd or 3rd time on MFP. I was wondering, do most people reach their goals and deactivate their account, and sign back up later if they gain weight or derail on their maintenance?

While I’ve been on MFP for years, I’ve not reached my goal yet – but I can’t imagine walking away when I do. I like the community and tools on here too much, as well as that sense of accountability for logging meals and exercise. How about you? When you reach your goal, will you stick around or head out?

    Goals are different for everyone.

For me, I like setting attainable goals. Once I hit that goal I will set another, then another. Its a never ending goal but always attainable in steps.

MFP is great, I'll be sticking around for a long time.

This is only my 3rd month here but I dont see myself stopping once I get to my goal. I may not log on as often after I am there, but I think I will certainly keep the account active for accountability purposes once I enter the maintenance phase.

And the hot guys are CERTAINLY motivation to keep the account. Just sayin!

I am too OCD to stop logging so I don't see myself deactivating unless I had a major life change and no longer had time to get on here.

I've never deactivated but I've had to step away from MFP for a few occasions, whether it be for reasons outside of my control or whether the calorie counting just got to my head.

I know I joined almost a year and a half ago, and I have gotten slight disenchanted so I don't log as much. It doesn't control my life like it use to but I'm still making progress.

And it's just nice to get to chat with people
