Did they post this after their "diet myths promoted by Buzzfeed" article?

First hit on google from the search "buzzfeed diet". I'd bet money you could go down that list of 13 myths and find a Buzzfeed article promoting each and every one of them.
Buzzfeed is built to maximize clicks, I don't think they care much what viewpoint they are putting forward as long as it generates...well...buzz. I have trouble applauding them for the one time out of the day they might have a point much like I'd have trouble congratulating a broken clock.16 -
Comments are as you'd expect. Carbs are evil, keto is life etc etc etc.2

One issue I have with that article is that you can come away asking "why bother?" - it makes it sound like you are going to fail at losing weight that you don't even need to lose. Most people in the US do need to lose weight, myself included.2

I'm glad to see them do it. I feel like in the past they have been one of the worst offenders for promoting 'clean foods' or 'EAT MORE COCONUT OIL'. Maybe this will help mainstream people get rid of diet BS.1

Oh, I didn't know about that. Pretty two-faced of them.1 -

Yes, I kind of felt that way myself.1 -

Buzzfeed is just a "news aggregate" site. They post articles any old person writes as a way of attracting viewership to their site. They don't have any sort of fact-checking or journalistic integrity or consistency or anything really. They are a dumping ground for written articles they think will generate clicks and that is it.
For every "Never do X" article on buzzfeed you can probably through google find a "Don't forget to do X" article also on buzzfeed. Because if your entire point is to get the most clicks why not try to appeal to both the people who really want to do X and are seeking justification as well as they people who just "know" X is dangerous and want to feel supported in their belief.3 -

I agree with this 100%. Sound points about other sources of misinformation notwithstanding, placing the point about vanity weight first sets a tone I don't agree with. Granted, I'm vain and petty AF, if someone fit-shames me I'll fat-shame them right back, I've seen me do it.
