If i set my goal as losing weight does the app automatically give me the number of calories i should eat to be in a defecit , or do i have to take for example 300 calories off those calories to get my defecit. Mfp has set me 1200 calories a day so does this mean i eat 1200 or eat less to be in a defecit?? Also if you log in exercise so for example 400 calories from running does this mean you eat the 400 in food so that i eat 1200 a day? For example i eat 1200 a day but then burn 400 to get to 800 , do i then need to eat 400 calories to be at 1200 again or leave it?

If you set mfp to say lose 1lb a week then mfp gives you the calorie goal you need to lose 1 lb a week.
Also you need to eat back at least half your calories from exercise.
Also weighing your food helps making proper calorie logging .2 -
Okay thank you! So if i ate 1200 calories but exercised and burnt 400 i would be at 800 calories? So i need to eat to get back to 1200 ?1
