Do you actually love the food when you're eating it due to sadness or boredom? Or is it just trying to provide comfort to cover up those feelings?

I love food too - but to me that means really enjoying the food, savouring it, and eating mindfully. I don't need to eat a lot of something to enjoy it or appreciate it.
(I used to eat emotionally - I could easily eat mountains of food, to reward myself or make me feel better!)

I'd work on figuring out better coping strategies for boredom/sadness and not needing food to be attached to emotional events.
  • This “Journey” needn’t be a nightmare.
It can be a very positive process to a healthier you.
It all needs to start with Positivity, Commitment and Consistency.
After all..,,,It’s up to you!!! B)

Well, my "journey" is not a nightmare, and I love food too... That weightloss has to be torture, is a sad approach, but it's the usual approach, and one that has made me lose and regain several times in the past, and made me dread setting out again. Now it's different. I don't eat to ease emotions, and not because I'm bored. Instead I plan delicious meals of appropriate size for my need, look forward to them with delight, and enjoy them to the fullest. Some times I eat a too much, but it evens out over time, because I don't do it every time, and I don't eat all the time.
