cooked chicken calories?

Hi.
I usually don't measure weight of food. I usually write on google calories in 1 chicken thigh and I get the result of 208 & 28 gm of protein. I also search for calories in 1 chicken drumstick and I get 194 with 15 gm of proteins.

Today I decided to measure the weight of what I usually eat. I took of the meat from the bones of the thigh and drumstick (Chicken yield) and measured its weight and the number on the scale was 75 grams ! Calories in 1 oz(28 grams) = 54 cals and 5.4 gm proteins. so there are approximately 150 calories and 15 grams protein only in what I thought was 400 calories and 40 gm of proteins !!!

is this possible ? I am not sure if I did things right ! but can a chicken drumstick and chicken thigh contain only 150 cals and 15 gms of proteins ? is this realistic? or there is something wrong ?

    That yield of cooked meat from a thigh and drumstick would be significantly below the average amount for chicken in the US. Are you in the US?

    The USDA National Nutrient Database provides the yield for one cooked roasted (dry heat) thigh meat only at 116g. Some stores in the US do sell chicken that are smaller, some that are larger. This is why it is important to weigh meat either raw or cooked and choose the correct entry in the database.

    The screen capture first column shows yield of 75g thigh meat; second column the yield for an average US broiler/fryer chicken thigh meat only (116g), and third column yield from thigh meat and skin (137g).

    No I don't live in the U.S

    That's a very significant difference

    I am not sure If I should I eat more.

    just get a food scale and weigh it before you cook it....
