So a good friend cancelled (got a better offer; yes, a man) on a climbing adventure.

After being kitten kitten annoyed for a day, I decided screw it.

Leaving my family for a few nights in the rainforest alone. Going to walk the pristine coastline alone. Climb a mountain alone.

I’m a little excited.

Anyone else take holidays alone?

Btw, googled the beach closest to where I’ll be staying, this image came up!

You'll have an awesome time! No compromise! All about what you want to do!
Best kind of vacay in my opinion, sucks about your friend tho...I have a few of those...ditch you as soon as some man turns up...kinda sad imo...their loss tho!

    Have a great time!!

Please be careful. Adventure holidays are safer in pairs because if someone is injured there is a buddy to call for help.

Other than safety, there is a lot to be said for doing things alone. It could be the best holiday you ever had

I’m really looking forward to it. It’s like all the stress has suddenly gone out of it.

The climb I’m going to do is pretty touristy and well within my fitness ability so should be reasonably safe.

Not sure if I’ll swim though!

The world is not safe without me being chaperoned.

    A glimpse at the coastline.
    Yep, that’s the path.
Made it to the top of the bloody mountain (and down again), all on my own.

Mountain is 1,156 metres (3,792 feet) high.

More than a kilometre, less than a mile.

    :)

Very nice. I don't know how I'd feel about a solo trip. I'm sure it's crossed my mind several times, but I might end up dead with this mouth.

It’s only a couple of nights. Heading slowly up the coast towards home tomorrow. Keeping my manners in.

Staying at this little retro styled cabin on a little hippie bush farm. Quite isolated.

One last picture (not one I took). This is the mountain; Mt.Warning. NSW, Australia.

And the corniest thought I had going through my mind as I climbed right to the very top was:

It’s easy to say you’ll climb the mountain when you’re still standing at the base.

Also, my other pic with the beach is a big misleading. Mountain ranges are about 35 minutes in from the coast.

Wow! So envious. I have never done a solo holiday....I suspect that it would put my husband's nose somewhat out of joint if I were to suggest it. In my books, a solo holiday makes you awesome.
