Break the cycle? You keeping a food diary?

You mention exercise. Are you properly fueling your workouts? I've had episodes where I seemed to lose my mind after workouts because I skipped meals before.

I am with you. I have a weakness for sweets and go crazy if I even have one thing. I lose control, blackout, then regret how much I ate whenever I do. It leads to me making other bad eating choices too.

Whenever I am at work or around others it’s almost as if I have to maintain their expectations since a lot of folks see me as fit. It is more difficult when I am at home.

This app has helped me to stay accountable. I see just how much sugar I am putting into my body and remember what my doctor tells me. I also get upset with myself for the damage caused by eating wrong and remember that. I think about how my cardio goes down, my stomach turns into a gut, etc.

If the app or self motivation isn’t enough, you can try having a battle buddy who you can call and you two can hold each other accountable. Having a partner in this helps. When I was married, it helped having a spouse who was on the same page nutrition wise and kept me honest. It is more difficult doing it on my own now.
