There's this one local sandwich shop I always go to. I have a special order: 6-inch whole wheat bread + turkey + provolone (I ask them to go easy on the cheese) + lettuce + tomato + onion + banana peppers (if they have them) + pepper

I'm really not a fan of sandwiches with just meat and cheese, but I appreciate the simplicity.

2 thick slices of white bread, butter, fishfingers, a friend egg(flipped but still runny) and pickle relish..

    Or
Toasted white bread.. let go cold and crusty, buttered then banana slices and a sprikle of sugar.

    Or a BLT

Put that BLT on toasted sourdough bread and add some avocado to the mix and we're in business.

I second the breakfast sandwich vote that @whocaresilikeit cast
Or peanut butter (creamy) with sweet pickles on toasted whole wheat

Is this a popular sandwich? Never heard of this combo!

I have only heard people joke about the sweet pickle version as pregnancy food, but I'll eat them any time.

The dill pickle version mentioned earlier... Yeah, no - no *kitten* way.

Have you ever tried it tho?!!
I've converted a few people...and I don't even know where the idea came to me but I've been eating it since I was a kid (its not like a family recipe or anything, but my brother and cousin agreed its awesome)

Apparently it's an American thing...like from the depression

I tried peanut butter and pickles together once and did not at all like the flavor. I was on a trip at the time, though. I love peanut butter and apples. Maybe I’ll try this wacky pickle combo again...

I love sandwiches of many kinds almost as much as Liz Lemon does and perhaps for this reason cannot name a particular favorite. Depends on my mood.

I haven't tried dill pickle with peanut butter, but I'm not a fan of dill pickles on any sandwich. Including hamburgers/cheeseburgers. I love a good dill by itself, on cheeseburger pizza or in cheeseburger soup. Not sure why pizza or soup is different from the sandwich, but it is.

I have some cinnamon pickles and I might try those with peanut butter this weekend.

My favorite is Sara Lee 45 calorie wheat bread bc it's thin sliced with jif reduced fat peanut butter, bc it's not greasy. I eat it every day.

A local restaurant called the Squeeze In has the best tuna melt on the planet on toasted sourdough with tomatoes, cheddar, and sprouts: the Manoukian Mind Melt. Not something I would make or order anywhere else. It’s one of my top 10.

    That looks heavenly! :yum:

There was a place when I lived in CA that made something similar on a fresh Croissant roll. Yummy!

    @Vikka_V

They're like lime pickles, but not quite as sweet and without the after taste.

Every time I see this thread title I picture a sandwich on a pole, impaled. Poor sandwich.
