Question about Strength Training Calories Burned

How do you track the calories you burn while doing strength or heavy weight training on here? I usually log my exercise from my phone and calories burned doesn't show up. Will it show up if I add it on the actual website?
Thanks!
Thanks!

You can use a heart rate monitor that will tell you the calories. Then I just add it to the cardio work out so it will track the calories....0

There is a section under cardio exercise. Add an exercise and type in "strength training". MFP then works out the number of calories burned depending on how long your strength training lasted. I'm not sure of the accuracy, so if you can buy one I guess a HRM would be best.0

This website, isn't even remotely close to being accurate with it's calorie burned number for strength training. You really do need to wear an HRM when you lift, I did heavy weight and almost all superset and my HRM registered over 1000calories, on the website it would have given me 651...HUGE difference, it can't gauge the heaviness of your workout, how quickly or how slowly you're performing your sets, are you giving too much time to rest and thus your heart rate comes down, or are you keeping it up, as in with supersets and it's burning like mad...an HRM is a great investment.0 -
I'd use a HRM to calculate. I thinks it is the only way you could get an accurate reading.0
