My way now -- is to get the craving out of the way with as little guilt as possible.

Yesterday I had a craving for pancakes. I have to say pancakes were responsible for half of my massive 60lb pregnancy weight gain (from 140 to 200lb).

I lOOOVE fresh, made from scratch buttermilk pancakes. I wanted them lately. So yesterday, I made a batch, and had them for breakfast and lunch (I had a day off and was at home).

Made with real buttermilk, eggs, some fresh hand packed ricotta for extra moistness and freshly toasted pecans. With honey(before, it would have been half a can of condensed milk. Still cannot trust myself with condensed milk so I don't keep it in a house).
I had about $1,500 calories worth of pancakes (with coffee and milk, of course).

Run over 600 calories off, had a sensible dinner of a 2.5oz filet mignon and a mountain of steamed bok choy with some toasted sesame seeds and great balamic vinegar and chili flakes.

And I had my pancake fix, and now should be good for a while! No guilt, no shame, just pure enjoyment.

I have done the same recently with lady M crape cake fix (2 slices in one day- one green tea and one coconut)
