kind of dried barberry - calories?

I have a big bag of barberries. The nutritional label reads 40kcal per 100gr. Surely that's for fresh barberries and not dried ones. The question is though how many calories are in them. They are sour rather than sweet and would guess they contain less sugar than raisins (not sure). I just sprinkled 10gr over a chili con carne with an Iranian twist (or deconstructed kebab with unusual veggies). Any ideas?

It looks like you can substitute dried sour cherries for them in recipes so I would use dried sour cherries from the USDA database. (I checked the USDA and it doesn't have barberries.)

Thanks a lot! I didn't look for substitutes, and I never had dried sour cherries (or sour cherries in general). Brilliant idea. I think I'll use those. I'm not using a big amount anyway, but of course 10gr of 300/100 or 40/100kcal does make a difference :)

My fitness pal has an entry that looks right: 90 calories in a 30 grams

That's the question. There are entries for 40, ~200 and 300kcal for barberries. No way of knowing which one is right. But this one seems to be fairly close to the dried cherries indeed.

Are they zereshk? Because I punched that in and and something came up at 21 cal per two tbsp. Based on the shape and size and sourness of zereshk, this might be close?

Dried sour cherries often have oil on them, whereas I haven’t seen dried zereshk with oil.

I don't know what zereshk is, sorry. And I would not use a measurement such a tablespoon, especially not with berries. Where is the cutoff line of what's considered too little or too much? I can pile many dried berries up on a spoon :)
