After receiving the advice from multiple people (including my wife of 27 years who has lost over 75 lbs and run multiple 5ks), to slow down and to not worry about the "times" of my mile splits, I did just that this week. I relaxed and did my runs. I had almost 7 miles of walking before I started my run today. Weather was nice; run was completed. It was an unremarkable run, but I have not quit.
