Anyone here in a low fodmap diet? I'm new to this type of diet so please chime in with any pointers or suggestions. Thank you!

Hi Suzzanne, excessive boating and gas in the stomach. I've seen a few gastrointestinal doctors and the one I am seeing now suggested this diet. I explained that a low carb diet in the past has worked, not fully eliminating my symptoms, but making it much better. Thank you. I'm new here, so hopefully you see this reply.0

I've only talked to people doing low fodmap in conjunction with AIP (autoimmune Paleo) which is a lot more restrictive than just low fodmap. I know all meat is allowed.
For vegetables, stick to things like carrots, cucumbers, kale, lettuce, okra, parsnips, pumpkin, radishes, spinach, zucchini and other summer squashes. At least pumpkin and parsnips are excellent vegetables to have at Thanksgiving. If you tolerate things like broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, sweet potatoes and winter squash, you can eat them in smaller quantities.
Some low fodmap fruits are bananas, blueberries, cantaloupe, grapes, honeydew melons, kiwi, oranges and other citrus, pineapple, rhubarb.
You might find some good recipes at acleanplate.com or gutsybynature.com, but they are probably AIP and Low Fodmap.
