There is an article that is titled " Three foods to avoid to lose weight" or something like this on the front page of MSN. Curious, I decided to click it. It linked you to a video with a doctor rambling on for like 10 minutes about how he was overweight and he discovered "the secret". All throughout he kept mentioning his book too. In my head I already knew his "secret" was BS and it was really a sales pitch for his book. He would even throw buzzwords around like "superfood" and that this is a food he discovered that no one else knows about. I did not watch the whole video because it was all BS. Of the foods he said to not eat were tomatoes, along with all the other veggies in the nightshade family like eggplant, potatoes etc. And he said to not eat beans. I did not get to his third group. Anyway, I think he's calling it the Lectin Diet. My guess is, his "secret" that he was talking about is left out and you will only find out in his book. It's crazy that this kind of lying information is broadcasted to millions of people. I kept shaking my head each time when he was making it sound like if you eat this food you will lose weight. Saying things like "nothing worked until I ate this food!". No mention of calories in or calories out. Of course, the masses are going to jump on this.
