A giant bag. Is my life about to change?

Well, it seems safe enough. It's a natural plant product. I tried it and quickly went back to other sweeteners; mainly agave and maple syrup.0

It depends on the brand. Some stevias are pretty gross, leaving a bad aftertaste. Others are really well made and taste delightful. I personally dislike powdered stevia. To me, it's gross.
I REALLY like the brand BetterStevia. I use it every day. They make flavour drops in plain, French vanilla, hazelnut, English toffee, dark chocolate, etc etc (there are many more flavours). It has definitely made kicking sugar WAY more enjoyable.0 -
Everyone is going to jump on me, but I like Equal better.1

Not sure I'd try anything new in a giant bag. Is it pure stevia or the kind with sugar mixed in it for baking? That's the only giant bags I've ever seen. I prefer the granulated one, but it is hard to find and I haven't tried liquid as I haven't seen it at my store either. I got used to stevia pretty quickly and I like the fact that it is from a plant rather than a chemical product made in a lab, although I do use some Sucralose products as well. I use powdered stevia (less than half a pack as it is potent) in recipes that I used to use sugar in. Nobody seems to notice that it isn't sugar when it is mixed with other ingredients and not overdone. Hopefully it changes your world, or you may have big bag of something you hate.0

I tried powdered stevia - hated it - terrible aftertaste. Then I tried flavored liquid stevia and love it in my coffee and tea. I also uses it to sweeten ricotta and cottage cheese. Yum!0

I tried the liquid kind and didn't really like it but to each his own.0

I bought it years ago and hated it. I ended up throwing it out.0

My wife got me Oikos Triple Zero vanilla Greek yogurt once because I wasn't specific enough about what I wanted on the grocery list. It is sweetened with stevia and it has a bad aftertaste IMO. I take some things, like tea, unsweetened. Other things I just make room for and/or limit and use real sugar in one form or another. For example, what I wanted was whole milk plain Greek yogurt. I add apricot preserves or "unhealthy" (sugar added) apple sauce to sweeten and flavor it. I really like it 2:1 with cinnamon apple sauce. Doing that I get 12 oz at 320 calories and it is so worth it to me to do that instead of eating that fat free non sugar "sweetened" stuff.1

I bought truvia once (stevia + erythritol). It was okay, but not really life changing or anything, and didn't buy it again since I don't use table sugar all that often anyways.0

I use it regularly. When I first started using stevia, I thought it had a bitter aftertaste -- don't know whether my palate has adjusted or I'm using a different brand, but I don't notice the aftertaste any more. I personally wouldn't buy a giant bag of something before I knew whether I liked it or not. My primary use is in my daily coffee and tea, and sometimes on unsweetened yogurt and smoothies. I also like monkfruit and will use sucralose if stevia isn't available.1

I use the liquid stuff to sweeten my tea and I like it.
For baking, I prefer erythritol. It works great.0 -

This is what i use, it tastes like regular sugar to me. I did try the straight stevia powder once, it was ok.. But never bought another container of it.0 -
I'm not a fan, I think it has a bitter aftertaste. My husband likes it perfectly well though, so I use it to make him baked goods (he doesn't need to lose weight but he's T1 diabetic) and it means I stay away from them, because ick.0

I'm with some other posters in that Stevia is the only non-sugar sweetener in which I can detect an unpleasant aftertaste. I really don't enjoy it.
I prefer artificial options like Splenda if I'm going to use a sweetener for something, but honestly I don't really use table sugar or calorific sweeteners in...anything really. Except baking, and then I'm not aiming for low-cal usually since it's a treat and I'm generally doing it for other people and not myself.0 -
I've tried several times to get along with stevia.
It's never going to work between us.1
