Hello, I am trying to figure out how to switch units from cups to grams when importing measurements for food. I’ve tried the following: In the Menu (or "More" page) tap "Settings", "Profile" then "Units." But there’s no option for this. Can anyone provide me information on how to do this?

The entries in the database are user-created, and not everyone uses a food scale to weigh things. If you aren't able to change the unit, find a more suitable entry or create your own.

You can edit the entry to create a grams option, or you could create a new entry.

Cups is a volume measurement and grams is a weight measurement. It can be converted but different ingredients will have different factors. One ml of water weighs 1 gram. There are 237 ml in a cup so 1 cup of water weighs 237 grams. A cup of marshmallows or lettuce would weigh lots less than a cup of water. Oil weighs a little less than water.

It's possible that I misunderstood the question and it's certain that I explained it poorly.

    ^This.

Cups and grams are not comparable nor directly convertible measurements, since the weight in grams of a cup in volume of a specific food product will vary w/the density of the food to be measured.
