How to break a bad habit

I saw this video last night and found it very helpful. so...this morning I made a list of what actually makes me happy and what makes me unhappy. I've decided at the start of my day, I'm going to look at this list and focus on doing what makes me happy. I want to not see that as a "struggle" or a negative. When you see it in black and white, you actually say to yourself "if I don't do ......, then I'll be happy that day". Seems simplistic but maybe that's what I need at this point.
