Where I work, we can only wear trackers where the bluetooth can be turned off on the device itself. I believe the Apple Watch has such capabilities, are there any others?

All the garmins I've used/owned had that feature.

The Garmins can actually turn off the Bluetooth on the device, and not just disconnect you from what ever you are linked to, like your phone?

You can disable bluetooth on the device from the device.

The usual reason people do this is to extend the battery life in their Garmin. Like if you're backpacking, or running a marathon, and notifications aren't important but keeping the thing going is.
