Hi Guys.
With my job I am always on the go. So lunch time or when I need a quick snack I am most likely on the road traveling to my next job. I end up stopping at a fast food drive thru for somthing i can eat quick. .. on the go. Or I order ahead and pick up restaurant food. I try to stick to salads and sandwiches. Anyone have any other ideas for low calorie on the go snacks and restaurant meal ideas ? I do bring a peice of fuit or some nuts but I'm just sick of the same thing.

I, too, must travel a fair bit for work as well. When I know I will have access to a refrigerator, I will often pack a cooler with fresh fruit/veg, lean meats, greek yogurt, protein bars, cheeses (I often practice keto), lots of water and/or club soda, etc. However, often I don't know if I'll have access to a fridge and don't want to risk wasting food. Some of my go-to "fast food" options are: fresh salad with 1/4 roast chicken from the grocery store, McDonalds/Wendy's salads (Greek and McD's, Mediterranean power salad at wendy's), McDonalds breakfast sandwiches (no butter, Canadian bacon -- I eat either open faced or with no bun), A&W lettuce wrapped chicken burger, any meat + steamed veg combo at sit-down restaurants.
Tonight I had a 1/4 Chicken and salad from Swiss Chalet -- my fav!
I know this isn't much, but I definitely feel your struggle when travelling for work is a requirement.0 -
If you're near a Middle-Eastern restaurant, shakshuka is generally reasonable. I'm a vegetarian and find that cheese-and-veggie pizza isn't too high-cal (usually 250-300 calories/slice). Roasted veg and hummus wraps are also a good choice.0
