Not new to MFP as I've been doing it this time for coming up on a year. I am, however, new to the social aspect of this. Before, I never even considered using the message boards or having online friends to help hold me accountable. The problem this time is that over the last few months I've just had trouble caring (not exactly the right word but cant think of a better description right now). Intellectually I KNOW this must be done. Back in March I finally broke the A1C barrier and got the diagnosis of diabetic. By July, the weight and A1C was down enough that I was back in the pre-diabetic range. Got thrown off a bit back in September when we went on vacation and things have gone down hill since then. I had been down to 247 but have put a few pounds back on pretty quickly and now hovering in the low to mid 250's.

Been watching my wife's feed and it just seems like having a few people to encourage me right now would help. I'm generally not one who needs a lot of social contact being seriously introverted, but I do acknowledge that it can be a good thing. Never been one to have a ton of friends. That's actually one of the most annoying things for me about FaceBook. That just seems to be a competition to a lot of people to see who can get the most friends. Not looking for a ton of friends, just for a few who will stick around and help keep me on my toes. Thanks for listening to me ramble and whine a bit.
