I did an hour on the elliptical today and then entered it in MFP
MFP calculated 60 minutes as 800 calories. Can that be correct?
Any input would be great!

No, probably not correct. Could be lower or higher. The problem with MFP especially on elliptical is it doesn't know the speed or resistance you were going. Did the elliptical you were using give you cals burned? If so I would take the lowest of the 2 estimates. The best way to get cals burned from an elliptical would be a HRM.0 -
so if I don't have a heart rate monitor right now how should I enter this into my diary for today0

I have found that the elliptical MFP calculation is high compared to the hrm. You can enter it in but don't eat back all of those exercise calories.0

I don't think I can eat them back even if I tried.if I ever do eat back the calories I burn it's usually about a hundred over0
