Thinking of upgrading my fitness tracker as my gift to me. Any suggestions? I have a first or second generation vivosmart garmin now.

What do you want it to do? I went from a Vivosmart to a Vivoactive HR and much prefer it. If I were to upgrade it now, the Vivoactive 3 looks decent and has a few more features. But I'm looking at doing a triathalon next year so I'm more interested in the Fenix series or the Forerunner 935.

At least the VA3 should be on sale Monday.

Amazon has the Vivoactive HR for 119.00. I couldn't pass that up.

Great question @Tacklewasher. I just track steps, weight and I did sync mfp recently. I do some jogging every now and then. Thxs for asking to help me define what I need.

I love my garmin vivoactive HR and slightly gutted that there is an upgrade now that looks great.

Decide if you want GPS for your jogging or not, as that's the only significant feature that might determine what does or doesn't work for you. Beyond that, it's just about size/shape preference and budget. Most all of them will track steps reasonably well.
