Does using epsom salt during a bath really help relax muscles and soreness?

Yep! The theory is that the magnesium in Epsom salts is a mineral that is absorbed by the skin and helps relax muscles by decreasing lactic acid buildup after exercise. Sounds like weird science to me, but I find it helpful.2

Am I the only one that finds it doesn't help?? I've tried them multiple times and literally noticed nothing. Am I doing something wrong??0

I don’t notice a huge difference, could just be placebo effect for me...but it seems to help a bit and I like how it makes my skin feel so I continue. I’ve read that it’s more effective if you are low in magnesium overall...if you’re taking in enough of it through your diet then your body doesn’t absorb it. I dunno.2
