How to gain weight????

I am currently in the Police Academy. Started in the beginning of August 2017, and weighed around 170LBS. I am a 29y/o Male, 5'11" and currently have dropped down to 129LBS. Yes that is not a typo! Little info on my daily routine: I attend the Academy Monday-Friday from 0830 to 1530. I have to run 1.5 miles, do 35 push-ups (in under 1min) and 40sit-ups(in under 1min) every week usually on Friday's. I know that is not much at all but I also am prescribed adderall, which definitely decreases my appetite. I just started getting serious about packing the pounds back on...just not exactly sure where to start. I have always been on the thin side my whole life, but I need to put on wait and bulk up. If you have any advice on what foods, diet, or anything (that is legal) to help me gain weight I am all ears. Thanks!

Eat more. You have lost 40lbs in 16 weeks. That is horrifically and I'd be speaking to my doctor.0

Talk to your doctor as Trigden said.
Read through those threads that psuLemon linked. I'd also recommend bulking for beginners in the sticky at the top of the forum. That's all background info so you can understand what is going on when you bulk.
As for dealing with the adderall suppressing your appetite: drink calories. You can do that by replacing water with OJ or milk or a shake. Do not waste your money on mass gainers. Protein shakes can be okay, but only if you are unable to hit protein targets with real food.0 -
i would get to a doctor and get everything checked out - a huge weight drop like that could be a symptom of a medical issue - it could be the adderall, it could be something else0
