Not sure how blood got involved here but fair enough.

Since many women retain water when they ovulate as well as premenstrually, it's more accurate for them to compare their weight to last month rather than last week.

I meant "blonde" as a joke. Because I was having a hard time figuring it out. Haha

I know you did. But I didn't think it was funny because being a blonde doesn't mean you're stupid.

In the UK it does as a joke.

It does here...some people are just easily offended.

Can you explain the joke to me?

I guess it would stem from the patriarchal practice of the media portraying women with blonde hair as being more attractive and less intelligent than other women. Much like "firey redheads" or smart people wearing glasses. Since we all know it's ridiculous and untrue, perhaps we can all let someone using an antiquated turn of phrase have a small break...or you know...we could argue

    Lol I didn't argue. I just said I don't think it's funny.

no worries. somebody just asked me to explain the joke, that's all.

MFP is a funny place. OP can make a blonde joke, but if you were to criticize her for using "to" instead of "too" while making it, you would be in violation of forum rules.

    My thoughts exactly

I find this site useful - you can put in different numbers and see how it affects things like maintenance calories:
