Hi, I have a doubt. I want to know whether the speed of weight loss will be increasing with the food scale. For the past two months I have been counting calories in MFP with the measuring cups and spoons. My inches have got reduced but not pounds.I ordered food scale now. Will the speed of weight loss get rev up with the usage of food scale? why only inches not the pounds? Eventhough it sounds good, it is frustrating if the scale is not budging. Pls advise.

Using a scale will likely make your logging more accurate, so potentially you will lose your weight faster.

I'd be happy with inches lost - surely you want to look a certain way over being a certain weight?

That part depends ... I don't care how I look, but I do care how much weight I've got to haul up hills when I'm cycling.

In answer to the question, a scale will make your food tracking more accurate which could improve weight loss.

If you are using a food scale and being conservative when counting exercise, your weight loss should get closer to what you have set as your myfitnesspal goal. Know that it won't happen instantly--- after about a month of being accurate you will see that your weekly average is about what you set your mfp goal to.
