Are there any folks that have adopted a WPBD, which targets macros around 70% carbs (unrefined and unprocessed), 15% fat, and 15% protein? Particularly anyone that is focused on strength training and building muscle. A lot of folks would say that’s not enough protein, but wondering if anyone has personally been on WPBD for a while and can comment how it’s impacted fitness. Thanks!

Depending on what your calorie range is, 15% protein may not even be enough to sustain muscle, let alone build muscle. In isocaloric conditions, you need 1.5 to 2.2g/kg (towards the right as you get more lean) of protein and progressive resistance to sustain muscle mass.

You can absolutely gain muscle on a WFPB diet. I added strength training into my routine lately and i keep noticing that i'm growing in the areas i'm training. I eat nothing but plants! And i think the diet overall helps improve my fitness greatly. I can cycle a lot farther and faster than i could before, and i noticed a big difference with my speed and distance within weeks of switching.
