Holiday Dessert Snacks

My in-law's holiday tradition involves a "bake day" on which they fix up a bunch of snackable treats: cookies, fudge, meringues, and the like. They've asked me what I want. I never have been a big sweets person, so that question is always hard for me to answer. It's even harder this year because I've been trying really hard to lose weight. I dont want them to make up a special batch just for me, especially since I probably won't eat very many.

What "normal" treats would have the least impact on my calories? I'm thinking meringues (they usually make mint ones, which are gross and taste like toothpaste, but any kind of non-oil extract could be used to flavor them). What about Danish Butter cookies? Gingers snaps? Other ideas?

That depends on your self-control level around cookies.
Gross could be a good thing. Otherwise, maybe request a partial batch of something they are already doing. Or, if you are able to eat only 1 at a time while they are in your house, then something you really love and don't have much now that you are watching calories. Or go with a not-gross flavor of meringue.

Self-control is not really much of an issue with me. I'll be able to eat lightly, but will be expected to have SOMEthing, so I'd like to enjoy it. Something tasty is more likely to disappear on other plates, so I won't have to take extras home.

you should make sure it's not more than 100 calorie snack. That's what I do.

If you aren't fond of sweets how about requesting/bringing a more savory snack like popcorn, deviled eggs, cheese balls, hummus and veggies, chex mix, stuffed mushrooms, little sausages or meatballs, wasabi peas, spiced nuts or seeds or soft pretzels.

The baked goods get served alongside a build-your-sandwich station, plus vegetable snacks, so they've got the savory down. So they really do have to be sweet bakes (biscotti or pocky might be the closest to "not sweet").

Chocolate dipped strawberries are fun and easy to make. You could also do dipped pretzel sticks,

Or, mini fruit tarts would be easy enough to do. Swap the cream filling for greek yogurt.
