I took a year off from this app. My goals did not suffer too bad but they have changed a bit. A year ago I was focused on going to the gym, lifting as much weight as possible and gaining as much weight as possible. At 6'2", 250 lbs. I was happy going into a gym and benching 405 lbs. on a regular basis, but when I woke up in the morning I was always sore and my knees were killing me. Around the time I deleted my MFP app I competed in a my first triathlon not even expecting to finish. To my surprise I completed it, and became addicted to competing in endurance events. I ended up losing 30 lbs. and started swimming, biking and running on a regular basis. Throughout this whole process I missed the encouragement and advice that I received here. So I am back and looking forward to meeting those with similar goals as well as helping to motivate anyone else who needs help with their routine.
