I am 55 years old 5'1" 34 23 34. I have always wore bikinis, short shorts, short dresses and tight jeans. I think I am getting to old for most of my closet but my husband says NO. He says that God gave me a great body and that he wants me to continue to wear my "closet". Being honest and not arrogant men still look up and down at me. My husband likes it when he sees a men "as he says" has sex with their eyes. I am being honest, I would appreciate any oponions.

Age is just a number, but if YOU feel like you're getting too old for certain styles of clothes and would like to tone it down a bit, that's your prerogative. And, for your husband, toning it down doesn't mean a granny dress and pilgrim shoes! The bottom line is you should wear what you're comfortable with, and you can still look like a million bucks doing that.

I agree with Pupslice. Maybe tone it down just a bit. You can still look sexy without being obvious about it. Congrats on keeping a great figure!

No one knows how old you are, if it looks good wear it.

What do you want to wear? If you have always worn short and tight clothes maybe it is good to branch out. Why not experiment with a few different outfits and see if you like them?
If you look sexy you are still going to look sexy even if you wear longer shorts or a longer dress. People will still look at you.

I was thinking ranch, honey mustard, or balsamic.

I know there is an expression "Mutton dressed as lamb" used for when women dress in clothes better suited to their daughters. When it comes to dressing my age, I sometimes have to remind myself that just because I CAN fit into it, doesn't mean I ought to. I am 48...my birthday falls in-between those of Jennifers Aniston and Lopez. So I often think...well if she can wear denim cut-offs/miniskirts/dresses cut down to here, I can too. But I try to make more sophisticated choices. I'm not ready for Talbots...but I can't be Forever 21 either.

But overall, you should wear what makes you happy. If it's Hello Kitty belly shirts and shredded denim, fine. If it's Golden Girls tunics and capri pants, also fine. Dress to please yourself...not your husband or anyone else.
