This week is going to be rough - I have so many parties for work. I guess my goal is to not get too out of control but still have fun.
Day/Weight/Comment
12/09 - 191 - My strict week before holidays paid off in a new low. I don't know how it'll hold after tonight.
12/10 - 190.8 - This is completely unexpected. I'll take it. We had such a big dinner at the party last night I assumed it'd be pure bloat today.
12/11 - 190.8 - Holding after the weekend.
12/12 - 190.4 - More parties today. Got an appointment with a personal trainer.
12/13 - 190.6 - Kind of tired and feeling bleh yesterday so I got really lax.
12/14 - 190 - Stricter with myself yesterday despite another party.
12/15 - 189.8 - My willpower is starting to feel tired so I'm a little worried about this weekend
12/16 - 189.4 - ha ha, my last big Christmas party was a total joke. The food ran out within the first half hour and the decorations and "games" were pretty sad. I left early to go for a walk.
12/17 - 189 - on one hand I'm glad. On the other I'm afraid this means my body is consuming its muscle too fast.
12/18 - 189.4 - on my feet all day baking and packing stuff to mail, had pizza and fast food so I didn't have to think of cooking. Back to normal eating today but I feel kind of better after a "cheat weekend."6 -

12/09 - 144.2 hopefully I can hold onto this over the next few days. Today will be interesting, potluck lunch and pub Christmas party for dinner. At least there will be lots of movement with the dog competition we are going to.
12/10 - 143.2 might be a false blip but I’ll take it for now Didn’t end up logging the potluck it just became too complicated with a little bit of this and that but I think I did alright with a light plate and then I chose a single dessert to treat myself and try. Then at the pub I really didn’t want to derail things so I chose to drive and have a club soda and chicken Caesar salad so I think I did alright. More dog competition today and another potluck lunch so hopefully I can keep it up.
12/11 - 143.2 very happy with this number. After the weekend of two potlucks and a pub evening Christmas party I feel like I managed to mostly keep it together. Took the same approach to the potluck I did on Sunday and went with the small plate and chose 1 treat to sample. Hoping to keep it up.
12/12 - 143.2 ended up doing drive through for dinner which was a mistake. Normally when that happens I skip the fries and I’m usually pretty good but I thought last night I would eat them. OMG they were so salty and I didn’t stop until 3/4 of the way through. Ugh the busy holiday season is making meals a bit tough. Keep pushing for the healthy or at least reasonable choices though.
12/13 - 143.0 headed in the right direction. Gotta keep it together with this crazy holiday season wind up. Still so much to do yet.
12/14 - 142.4 um ok? Yesterday was busy, went to the gym and then dog class. I didn’t eat a whole of dinner since it was kind of a flop so I threw most of it out and I ended up doing some baking tasting Christmas party dinner tonight so that’s definitely going to put me over daily calories.
12/15 143.6 yeah yesterday wasn’t great. I wasn’t organized ahead of time and ended up having to purchase a salad for lunch then definitely over ate hugely at the Christmas party dinner. It was a sit down meal so tough to really portion control unfortunately. But as long as every day isn’t like that the trend should continue which is the main thing.
12/16 - 143.0 did some power shopping yesterday. Struggling a bit with logging all my foods with the holiday season and haven’t made time to go the grocery store to refill the veggie drawer so I need to carve out some time for that so I can keep on track with the crazy Christmas holiday meals that are around.
12/17 - 143.6 uh oh, paying for the sins of the over indulgence at the Christmas party last night. Should be able to keep it together today though as it’s a get organized for Christmas Day today.
12/18 - 143.0 ended this round in a decent place. Pretty happy with the average drop over the last 10 days. Got to keep posting if I’m going to make it through this crazy Christmas season. Another Christmas lunch today and then the rest of the week should be good for food until the weekend. Looking forward to the next round.4 -

12/11 - 182.4 Darn.. salt and booze. Thank goodness for weekdays and normalcy.
12/12 - 183 Okay, this is where it stops, even with the alcohol I didn't go over calories on any day this weekend, time to flush all this out!

12/10 171 yay! I can’t believe after a day of 2 parties I have lost weight haha! Whether it’s real weight or water weight, keeps me motivated to make healthy choices today. First stop brunch! Will try to order a salad. UPDATE: I ordered a patty melt with fries instead. Oops!!
12/11 - 175.1 .... wtf?! Not the best way to start a Monday but I won't get discouraged. It's all about long term trends! And I have healthy meals planned out for myself today so if I follow that I have faith that tomorrow will be better.
12/12 - 173.1 - ok it's going back down. This daily weighing exercise is just showing me how much my weight fluctuates from day to day, and it's ok! All about the overall consistent downward trend and making healthy choices on a daily basis that will be reflected on the scale days/weeks/even months from now. Yesterday I ate really well during the day and had an amazing Soulcycle spin class in the evening, but then I was super hungry afterward and I overate, so that wasn't good. I also had a big tall glass of Sauvignon Blanc with dinner, which gave me a headache and woke me up in the night. For the rest of the weeknights (Tuesday - Thursday), I am going to focus on 1) not drinking alcohol in the evenings, and 2) eating light dinners in the evenings and not snacking afterward. I meal prepped a bunch of yummy healthy vegetable soups so I am going to make those a focus in the evenings. Go team!
12/13 172.4 - OK so this counts as a .1 loss since the first day of the challenge. Yay! haha. Including today and the last day, we have 6 more days of the challenge to actually make a difference. Yesterday was a pretty good day - I went to hot yoga at lunch and I ate well and did not binge at night. I did have a glass of wine with dinner, and I did have a snack before bed because I was actually hungry, but it was a healthy snack (yogurt and muesli). Overall I am satisfied with my day yesterday, and I am motivated to make today an even better day. It's a rest day for exercise, but I will eat healthy and drink a lot of green tea and water. Woot! Also looking for motivated/motivating friends so if you're reading this please feel free to add me.
12/14 - 172.4 - Meh! Same as yesterday. I ate pretty well all day but then had too much cheese and some chocolate at night before bed (terrible idea). Planning to eat well today and have a workout at the condo gym toward the end of the night. My big challenge tonight will be to not overeat out of boredom. Fiance's out of town and I have no plans other than staying in with the dog, so it will be very tempting to just eat all the cheese in the house. Cheese is my biggest downfall!
12/15 171.8 - well that's cool! I think over the next 4 days including today I can definitely make it into the high 169 range at this rate. Yesterday I ate really well and went to the gym to do a treadmill/elliptical combo. I ate a snack after work, worked out, then had a late dinner, which might be a good combo for me, as I don't get hungry before bed. This seems crazy but maybe I eat dinner too early, which leads me to snack/binge at night?! This weekend's going to be a bit of a gong show with events, I have 2 holiday parties tonight with open bars, then 1 event tomorrow night, then 2 events on Sunday, one of which is a Christmas cookie swap . My goal during all this is moderation - just because there is an open bar or hundreds of cookies doesn't mean I need to eat all the cookies or drink all the drinks. Weekend motto: "one or two will do!"
12/16 - ... Decided not to weigh myself. I ate well during the day, but went to 2 parties and then came home and ate pizza with my fiancé in bed. It was great! haha. woke up this morning a bit hung over and very thirsty, so I drank tons of water. With a pizza food baby and several cups of water in me, I think weighing in today would be inaccurate and depressing / demotivating. I'm planning to eat well today and go for a half hour lane swim, and will not be partying tonight, so the number on the scale should be okay tomorrow. Go team!!
12/17 - 174 - meh...this makes sense. late night junk food post bar...
12/18 173.6 - at least it's going down. I think it makes sense for me to weigh myself once a week on Fridays in order to see overall trends. I end up eating really well during the week overall and then the weekends go to H* in a handbasket, especially around the holidays, but overall I have a downward trend so I am not going to be too hard on myself! This was a helpful exercise for me, as I got to see my weigh fluctuations on a daily basis and see how certain foods and behaviours correlate to weight gain and loss on a day to day basis. Thanks everyone!4 -

12/9 - 136.6 - Yesterday well under calories, 29 minute run.
12/10 - 136.2 - Yesterday under maintenance calories but not under daily goal, no workout, to bed at 7PM. Felt depleted and borderline sick. Drinking extra water today and feel much better, planning on a run.
12/11 - 137.0 - expected this bounceback. Ran 5.5 miles yesterday, under calories for goal but ate well.
Having this "135 by 12/25" goal led to me being too far under calories Thursday and Friday, and totally bonking out on Saturday. Counterproductive! I am all about the system, not the goal, and I have to return to that system and "let" the goal happen, instead of trying to "make" it happen.
12/12 - 138.2 and deserved. Gross headache all yesterday, came home sick, ate for "comfort" and kinda, yeah, couldn't summon the "give a *kitten*" to stop. I did go to the gym and walk gingerly on the treadmill for 3.5 miles. But still over maintenance by a bit.
12/13 - 137.4 - ate right at calories for slow loss yesterday, no workout (planned due to schedule). Feeling better but still a little knocked-down. Looking forward to a nice workout today for stress relief.
12/14 - 137.4 - ate under calorie goal yesterday and got a kick *kitten* workout. Still pretty anxious and stressed though so let's do that again.
12/15 - 137.2 - ate about 50 calories over goal yesterday and no workout.
12/16 - 137.2 - under calorie goal yesterday, ran and walked 2.8 miles, a few issues with left knee but it will be fine. FINE, I say.
12/17 - 136.8 - under calorie goal yesterday, only ate one of the Christmas cookies I baked, ran 2.5 miles, knee is fine.
12/18 - 135.8 - under calorie goal yesterday, ran 6.5 miles and very proud of myself - but DEHYDRATED still it seems! Also, stayed away from the numerous batches of Christmas cookies floating around my house -- it's my mom's treasured recipe, she passed on 5 years ago at Christmas time so I make them and send them to my family on the east coast it's not optional

12/10 106.7 Over my calorie goal but finally exercised. I do best NOT adding calories to intake when exercising.
12/11 106.9 Made time for a little jump rope yesterday. Beautiful Weekend!
12/12 106.6 Nice but I know I over ate yesterday. So . . . hopefully I can make today a little better than yesterday.

12/14 106.8 Over Calories - again. Will make a good plan for today.
12/15 107 Nailed the Calories so this number is not reflective of my yesterday. Only 3 more days!

I've decided that I am going to eat at maintenance/refeed for 2/7 days a week, which is why I am going to start using my average weight. I want to offset hormonal changes that occur when losing weight for extended periods of time that can make it harder to lose and maintain weight and I'm hoping to alleviate potential emotional stress of constantly being in a deficit.
Day/Weight/Comment
12/09 - 222.0 Eating at maintenance today. Going out for afternoon tea!
12/10--221.5 Finished W5D3 yesterday and other than having to stop to pick up my dog's business, I ran the whole 20 minutes. I'm very surprised of the drop in weight today since I ate at maintenance yesterday and I was definitely expecting a temporary weight gain. Eating at maintenance today. Off to kettlebell class.
12/11--223.1 There's the water weight from eating at maintenance yesterday.
12/12--222.2 Going to kettebell class today.
12/13--222.2 Had a great kettlebell class yesterday. Doing W6D1 today. I have to make sure that I keep hydrated today.
12/14--221.3 Really sore this morning. I'll probably do some stretching/using the foam roller tonight and make today a rest day. I'm still working on making sure I keep hydrated.
12/15--221.7 Normal fluctuation. Back to a downward trend.
12/16--221.3 Going to kettlebell today.
12/17--220.9
12/18--221.3 Kettlebell today.
R25 Average Weight 221.7 I need a mental break from seeing my weight on a daily basis, so I'm taking the next round off from weighing myself everyday. Weight loss is such a mental struggle. Have a great next round everyone!

12/09 :: 179.0 - Pot luck yesterday so expected this to be higher, but glad it’s not! First day of the weekend, hopefully I won’t screw up too much!
12/10 :: 180.8 - Ugh… Yep, that’s what a day of not keeping track of the number of calories I’m consuming does to me… Must try to be better today
12/11 :: Didn’t Weigh - Yesterday was a worse eating day than Saturday and did not want to see what that scale was going to tell me… weekends are going to be my enemy
12/12 :: 180.1 - Oh thank goodness!! Still not where I started this round, but at least the numbers are back to heading in the right direction!!
12/13 :: 179.6 - Have a bit of a tummy bug right now, so not eating much, but still trying to drink my water.
12/14 :: 179.2 - Ate a little more than the day day before, so I won't be surprised if this number goes up over the next couple days
12/15 :: 178.9 - Starting to feel better and the weekend is coming up, so this number will likely go up. Hopefully I can at least do better than last weekend
12/16 :: 179.8 - *sigh* Expected this, but really hoped it wasn't going to happen
12/17 :: 179.8 - Getting sick again... also, TOM has arrived; expect this to go up
12/18 :: 181.0 - YEP. Okay, lots of water today, hopefully Round 26 will be better, even with Christmas!

So even though I ended this round at a gain, my average weight over this last round was lower than Round 24, so I’m still considering this round a win5 -

So happy to have maintained last round as I was all over the place.
I have 2 weeks to my friends wedding so I would like to lose 2lbs. So my mantras are going to be
'eat that, gonna get fat' and 'eat less, move more'

14/12 - 137.4 I've got a shocking cough and cold at the mo. Positive - I'm not at work being tempted by all the cakes and sweets people bring in. Negative - I'm feel so dreadful that I can't do any exercise except shuffle between the kitchen and bed.
15/12 - 138.0
16/12 - 137.2
17/12 - 136.6 Feels good to be losing again. Historically I get a new low and then revert back to old habits and up the weight goes again. Bye bye new low! So I am determined to see this as an average and not just a blip.

Enough. I'm off this afternoon to check out a gym - no more weather excuses for lack of exercise. And I've been lax about my eating, so seriously getting back on track and hitting the macros hard - 30P/30F/40C. We will be moving across the country in late February, and I want 10 pounds less of me by then. That's 10 weeks from now, so a pound a week, so 1.4 per 10-day round (assuming they'll be continuing in 2018, I hope?!?) I'm down a little from R15, but really, pretty stable over many weeks, so my metabolism is fine and this should be doable if I stick to the plan.
12/10 - 149
Back on track yesterday. Nothing showing on the scale, but I feel lighter, if that makes any sense.
12/11 - 149
Oh, for heaven's sake. It's like fat has superglue.
12/12 - 149.2
OK, now I'm really getting frustrated. The only thing different yesterday was that I was a bit heavier than usual on carbs (whole grain). I have been lower fat, higher protein & carbs than usual the past few days. I wonder whether that could make the difference? So disappointing!
12/13 - 148.8
Finally. Now to continue....
12/14 - 148.8
Sooooo sloooowwwww. Sigh.
12/15 - 149
I had a bit of a splurge last night, so ok. I've revised my goals based on reality rather than wishes.
12/16 - 149
Maybe my goal adjustment yesterday wasn't based on quite enough reality. I did have some extra calories last night - a bag of Harry & David's mixed nuts. Why oh why do they put two servings in one little bag that I had no way to secure half-way through? :-) Oh, well. I guess holding the line through the holidays is a good thing. Thinking of lowering my carbs, but not until after Christmas.
12/17 - 148.2
Whoa! Finally! Maybe I'll hit my goal for the round after all.
12/18 - 148.4
Not quite my goal, but this is good. On to the next round!
