Lost 50 pounds now hitting plateau

I started my weight loss journey 2 months ago. I lost 50 pounds and now I seem to hit a plateau. I count my calories and watch every single thing I eat. Am I too strict with it? There were some days where I didn’t know what I could eat after getting so bored with salads that I just didn’t eat much at all. Any kind of advice would be well appreciated. I don’t want to get discouraged and fall off the wagon. Thank you so much!

How much weight do you have to lose? 50 pounds in 2 month is EXTREMELY fast.1

How long have you been plateauing for? Plateaus are normal and happen. Perhaps you got used to seeing the scale move so quickly (hell, 50lbs in 2 months is amazing! I thought i was losing fast at 18lbs in a month and a half).
I wouldn't worry about it if it's been less than 2 weeks.0 -
I try to stick to 1200 calories a day but sometimes I can’t even make that I stay away from high carbs I eat as little sugar as possible and stay away from a lot of sodium. I would like to lose another 50 pounds and go from there. And yes the plateau has been less then 2 weeks, I was used to the scale going down constantly that a few days without moving just threw my anxiety in overload.0

Stats are very helpful like your height, starting weight, current weight, goal weight. You were losing a little more then 6lbs a week so hitting a plateau is a sign your body might be getting close to goal weight, but we dont know.0

Eat back at maintenance for a few weeks (2-3) then go back, not to 1200.1

A few days without losing is not a plateau. Weight loss isn't linear.
What are your stats? Do you mind opening up your diary? It sounds like you've been drastically undereating.1 -
That same thing happened to me the first time I was working on losing weight. Once I lost 75, I stalled for quite sometime. I tried some different tactics but none of them really worked. I adjusted my calorie goals and exercise and things began to move and lose more. But it took like 3-4 weeks. Trust me when I say I wanted to give up. Sometimes you can be eating too few calories as well. It’s all pretty individual.0
