Play it again, Sam.

Hi all. My name is Samira, and I am not new to mfp. But, this time, something feels different. I just turned 35, my weight is 195 lbs. I am in the final year of my PhD. I was never thin, but the year before i entered grad school, i put my heart and soul into losing weight and slogged my way to 141 lbs - the lowest weight as per my university records. Its now my 8th year in the program, and over these eight years - through anxiety related binges, angry workouts, and on-again-off-again cico diet - I have gained a breathtaking 50+ lbs. My BMI and Body Fat percentage - which I calculated for the first time today - made me comprehend the magnitude of my obesity. So, not to go on and on, on a negative note, I’m going to do it properly this time. I just wanted to stop by here and post something to inaugurate what is going to be the year Sam got fit, again.
