Too much fiber?

New to this and just wondering...is it bad to have too much fiber each day? Like...over your goal #? Thanks!

    Not bad at all. But if you are new to eating a lot of fiber, ramp up slowly and keep Gas-X on hand.

    Also, make sure you're getting enough fats in your diet, and drinking enough water or equivalent . . . not crazy amounts of either, but don't lowball them, either.

    No. The biggest problem for most people is not high fiber, but rather going from very low to very high fiber. Extreme variability in fiber intake can cause gas/constipation/etc. I have a very high fiber diet (vegetarian) that usually is above the recommended amount.
