Struggling with a healthy weight.

So I've had some trouble with binging lately and I'm up to 150 lbs. Now everyone around me says it's a good weight for me but my goal was 140. I'm a 35 yo 5' 10" male with probably a medium frame. I thought I looked pretty good at 142 which is the lowest I got to but a few of my family we're complaining I didn't look healthy but others would compliment me. My concern is I'm not getting honest answers or Maybe my goals were unhealthy or unrealistic. I was 225 when I got started and I just wanted to keep going. Now I'm remotivated to go at it but should I work with what I've got to build muscle or try and get to my goal weight of 140. I'm just a little lost anymore.

Your body and your friends around you are saying 150 is good. If you like the control you’ve had over your body I suggest you transfer your ambition to lifting or a program like CrossFit.

When you eat a little more the bingeing should slow down.

    I'm 5-10", I haven't weighed under 150 lbs since probably a sophomore in highschool.
You're very skinny, that's why everyone else is telling you to gain weight.
Do you workout or lift weights?

Talk to your doctor. 142 or 150 are both within the normal range for your height, but on the low side if you have a lot of muscle mass. What specifically do you like about 142 more than 150? If you lose muscle definition at 150, it might be better to focus on maintaining muscle while cutting.

What made 140 better for you than 150? Is it the number, the mirror appearance, or was there a physical performance aspect involved?

If you didn't know your weight now, would you be OK with how you perform and how you look in the mirror?

Maybe shifting your focus to recomping instead of losing more weight would be a good choice at this stage of your progress? :)
