Rice paper rolls - healthy alternative to sandwiche/wrap

Just thought I would share this idea in case it something new you haven't tried before. You can buy rice paper in the Asian section of the supermarket and use it to make yummy rolls. The wrappers are really thin so not many calories or carbs. You can make traditional Vietnamese ones like this

or you can experiment and put in pretty much anything you would in a wrap. I often skip the noodles and bulk them up with carrots/cabbage/bean sprouts.

    Thank you for the idea! I eat a fair amount of wraps using whole wheat tortillas, but I'm going to look for these next time I go shopping :o)

    The rice paper at American super markets are waaaayyyy overpriced. If you have an Asian market nearby, it will be a lot cheaper, and the quality will be better as well. If you have a Vietnamese market nearby, one pack is probably 99 cents.

    I'm in Australia but I might check at an Asian supermarket because it's probably the same situation here
