Helloooooo! I've been practicing mindful eating since about May this year.

I get on the scales once a week (usually Friday) and I'm looking for friends who have ditched the diets and just choose wisely.

I'm a huge advocate of meditation, mindfulness and creative visualization. Having been on just about every diet on the planet, I've gone back to basics - which means sorting my head out (attitude and habits) and being kind to myself.

I do NOT obsess over food or my weight. I just eat when I'm hungry and work on being kinder to myself (and making other people smile) :) hope you can join me - please add me!

People who 'diet' aren't really obsessing about their food or weight.. for a lot of us, mindful eating does not work, thats how we got here in the first place, with food being so vastly different in caloric densities, its hard to just be mindful based on portion sizes and achieve the goal we wish for ourselves. Especially when a basic peanut butter sandwich can contain more calories then a home cooked sunday dinner.

When diets come with names... like "The banana diet" or "Detox diet" or "military diet".. those are all set up to fail.
Same with all those diet plans you see on TV that want you to buy products, they are all set up to fail also. Mostly because they are based on methods hard for average people to sustain.

Most people here choose different paths but we all have to watch calories in and calories out in the end.. but that doesn't mean it's obsessive, it means we finally have taken the time to care about our health and body.
