Weight and SSRIs/Zoloft/Anti-Depressent

I've been on generic Zoloft setraline for about 6 months now and my weight has slowly creeped up about 10-12 lbs.
I've tried every diet in the book, including the Medifast Optavia diet. Many many people lose tons of weight on it and I was struggling to shake off a mere 5 lbs. I had enough and decided to call my doc to tapper off the meds.
I'm about to start Optavia again, because even though the weight loss was slow and minimal, it was something. At this point I'm willing to do anything until I'm totally off my meds.
My question-- has anyone had any experience being on this diet while ON SSRI? Or, has anyone had any experience losing weight after taking an antidepressant? How long did it take for the weight to start coming off?

Ha, I know how to eat very well. Hence why I'm frustrated by the weight gain. I know these products are filled with total junk, I'm not looking to be on them for years. Just until I get the zoloft out of my system. Which is why I'm asking if anyone here has had any experience...0

Have you tried logging your food and using a food scale for everything? Calories are what counts for weight loss. I'm not familiar with this product, but if it worked for you it's because it kept you at a calorie deficit. You can do that yourself without buying special products. Sorry I don't have any experience with the stuff you are talking about.1 -

My experience wasn’t that SSRIs made me hungrier than normal, but more lethargic. Calorie counting would definitely help with that, since you really don’t have to exercise to lose weight.
I figured out a plan with my doctor to eventually get on something else that’s not an SSRI that’s working for me, but that was literal years of trial and error with different meds.0
