How much calories does a day at the mountain burn. Riding chairlift up. Burning down. Good powder. Good vertical on the mountain. Ski out at end of day

Check the MFP database. About 400 per hour of actual constant vigorous movement. Riding the lift and standing in line doesn't count.1

I ski rather than board but here is how I work out my calorie burn for a day on the hill. (It sounds complicated but isn't really).
1. Run a tracker app on your phone during the day. I use skittracks, which is cheap and seems reliable.
2. At the end of the day, divide total distance by average speed (it only records speed when moving so waiting for lifts etc doesn't affect this) to give time in hours skied/boarded
3. Enter this time into exercise tracker (I use a Fitbit One, but used to track exercise here - there is definitely a database entry for skiing, I'm sure there's one for boarding), you may need to convert hours into minutes.
4. Feel as those I've earned those apres beers!1 -
