The Comments You Hear...

This happens to me now and again... Whenever I am around skinny people (people who clearly don’t need to lose weight) the conversation goes into how much they need to lose or what latest diet they are on. Of all the topics on the planet it is that? Weight loss?! Really?!? Sometimes it is innocent conversation... other times it is feels passive aggressive. What have your experienced? Do you experience the random passive aggressive comments?

My sister-in-law talks about her weight losses and gains constantly. I find it to be the most boring topic in the world. I don't understand her obsession. For some people, I guess they're just trying to find common ground with their friends. Or they're seeking reassurance that they look good, are doing the right fad diet, are curious about what others are doing. I find it simply tiresome and dull. I never think anyone is trying to imply this conversation has anything to do with me.2
