Hello all! I want to blow the lid off the myth that all vegans are slim. Of course many are, however I am NOT. I'm not sure why this is except that I take medication that messes with my metabolism. I eat a healthy, clean vegan diet, use MyFitnessPal to track calories and macros, and exercise daily with cardio and weights. Still I gained a pound last week. It's kinda depressing.

A bit about me: I love cats, vegan cooking, and spending time with family+friends. I'm an IT Systems Engineer by profession. Currently I'm looking for work.

what are your goals? are you close to maintenance ? 1 lb gain in a week could be just normal weight fluctuation. Think long term, if you burning more cals then you are eating then you will eventuality lose fat.

Hi! I've been vegan for about ten years. I used MFP to lose about 40 pounds and have been maintaining that loss for a couple of years now. Did you just now begin logging and gain a pound or have you been logging for a while and not seen any weight loss?
