Hello everyone! I'm new to all of this. My cross fit instructor told me about it so I though I would try it out. My goals are to lose weight. I weigh 168pounds and I'm trying to get back to 140. I do cross fit but I need help with my diet. I'm currently taking Wellbutrin and Lexapro. Could that be the reason for massive weight gain? Please comment your thoughts and stories. Really need encouragement.

I've never heard of those things you are taking. But eat at a calorie deficit to lose weight.

Also take a gander at the "Most Helpful Threads" on the Getting Started board. Lots of great info there. Good luck!

    Hey there,

SSRIs etc have been known to help with weight gain.

However this is not due to direct cause, but rather if the user was not eating correctly before, with stress and an interrupted sleep schedule, the pills can cause the user to eat better/more than before.

Also they can cause water retention. I would recommend making sure you're drinking the correct amount of water with this formula: Your Weight in Lbs X 67% = Water to drink in FL OZ.

If you do feel you are gaining too much weight I would recommend speaking to a dr about it :)

    Hope that helps somewhat :)
