Newbie! Exercising at home/for free?

Walking is free and easy. You can do it every day. If the weather is bad, put some music on and just move. Dance, do high knees, low kicks, side steps, running grapevine, whatever you want. Just move. Body weight exercises are free. You can buy some hand weights for about $10 each. There are you-tube videos for just about every kind of exercise. You could probably do a different one every day for a year.2

So and I am not trying to be mean, but some gyms around me are like $10 a month and we know we can spend that easily on bad foods.
Do you have any type of cable that has exercise programs available? With ours Comcast there is an On Demand area with workouts. Either that or if you have Walmart near by they sell workout videos.2 -
I personally use fitness blender's website and youtube channel! Good luck on your journey!1

Not sure if it's been mentioned...but if you can access to youtube...hasfit or popsugar is great, been using them recently....beachbody if you can afford to pay for it...or Nike training club app for free on your phone. I've used them all to help with my weight loss efforts0

I just walk. I joined StepBet, and that's my motiviation to get out there 5 or 6 days a week, rain, shine, cold weather, hot weather, tired, energized, busy or leisurely. I can check out audiobooks from our library to download, so I put on a book and I go walk for my required steps.
No planning, no elaborate schemes. I just walk while I listen to a novel.

Walking, dancing... lots of free workouts on You Tube.
Start small and build up if you are new to exercise.
When I started there were exercises that were uncomfortable or painful. I had to do seated workouts for awhile.
I would count more on watching calorie intake for weight loss than exercise.0 -

Trim and tone for free? I can't run as I have very large breasts and even with three sports bra's on running is too painful. Any ideas appreciated
I don't run because I dislike running. Plenty of other free/cheap ways to get cardio:
* I'm fixing to bundle up and go for a walk, even though the Feels Like temperature is 22 degrees.
* I'm hoping for some snow soon so I can go snowshoeing. Got them from a friend who got them for $5 at a yardsale. Snowshoeing is so easy...and yet so hard.
* On rainy days in the winter I can do yoga.
* As others have said, there are lots of free videos on youtube.
* Your library system should also have exercise DVDs.
* In a few months I will be gardening again.
* Next summer I will be swimming.0 -

As a possible alternative to hand weights, out can do much of the same workouts with resistance bands, and they’re also quite inexpensive.0
