I've been varying my breakfasts and wanted to know what you guys think or recommend. At the moment my breakfast calorie goal is 531 and I do not normally surpass it. The following are some breakfasts I have been eating:
Main:
Oatmeal
Russian Bread Toast and Peanut Butter
German Bread, Cream Cheese and Smoked Salmon
Bacon and Eggs
Steak and Eggs
Side:
Clementine
Apple
Banana
And obviously a cup of coffee with skim milk or almond milk.
I find a heartier breakfasts decreases my cravings throughout the day.

I've never been a fan of raw veggies for breakfast, I don't mind em at lunch or dinner. It just feels weird. How or what veggies do you eat with your breakfast?
And what variety do you recommend?1 -
I eat carrots, broccoli, beets, rutabaga, lettuce.
I recommend eating any fruits you like, not just one of three.
I recommend a range of porridges, there are so many grains besides oatmeal.
I recommend all kinds of breads and all kinds of spreads.
But most of I all recommend eating in a way YOU feel is normal, natural and enjoyable1 -
I always have a high protein/fat breakfast unless it is a fast day. even then I cook it for my husband. Bacon/sausage/eggs/omelet etc. We love breakfast so much we actually got chickens so all we'd have organic eggs2

I dunno iv always started my day with a big bowl of boiled mixed veg and a plate of homefries XD Although thats more i love my homefries and my breakfasts are more 300-350ish lol.
I do also agree with beginning your day with a veg. Feels good knowing you got a serving or 2 of veggies in first thing, Even if thats the only reason lol. For me i just fid potatoes incredibly satiating and eat way less in my day after them so its a daily routine1 -
I hardly ever have raw veggies for breakfast, but if you’re wanting to incorporate them just throw some in with your eggs. I like tofu scramble with mushrooms, carrots, spinach, potato and bell peppers. Throw that shiz in a burrito and add some salsa and you’re practically in tier 10 Health heaven.0

Those breakfasts sound pretty good to me. Do you like them? do they fit your calories/macros? do you feel satisfied and un-hungry till lunchtime? If so, then you're on the right track.
By the way, what are German bread and Russian bread made with?0 -
I'll eat most anything for breakfast, soups, salads, sandwiches, and last nights leftovers.
But most oft-used breakfast vegetables are onion and peppers. Peppers can be sweet or hot, red or green. Like them with potatoes in a hash, or with corn porridge. In the southern US, we call corn porridge grits which is looked down on by some folks. Judging from your avatar you might call it polenta. Also will stir fry onions, peppers, carrots, etc. with leftover rice and eggs, either on the side or scrambled in the same skillet with the rice and vegetables.
Oatmeal: I'm a fan of oatmeal made with steel cut oats; sweet or savory. Can be used instead of corn in the savory porridge described above. Lately, I've been mixing toasted buckwheat with the oats, about 3:1. Don't care for buckwheat by itself but it gives the oats an added level of flavor and texture. Been adding bananas or dried berries to sweet oatmeal; blueberries, cranberries or dried tart cherries.1 -
If you like them and they help you meet your goals then they are fine.
Are you eating vegetables at other times of the day?

If you like those things, keep eating them - who are any of us to comment otherwise?1

This morning's breakfast was good but I think a bit heavy on the fats:
Onion - Onion, 80 grams
Tomatoes - Tomatoes, 134 grams
Maple Leaf - Low Sodium Bacon Cooked, 3 slices
Black Diamond - Marble Cheese Stick, 1 stick
Susan's - Burnbrae Farms - Extra-large Eggs, 2 egg
Mestemacher - Bread, 1 slice
1 olive oil - 1 Olive Oil, 0.5 tbs
Total Calories: 776
Total Carbs : 41g
Total Fats: 56g
Total Proteins: 33g
I think if I decrease the bacon and cheese, increase by one egg, and double the onion and tomatoes, I could have a similar mass, and at least 1/3 less calories. I am also measuring how long this will last until I get hungry later on today.

Seems fine if they are working for you. Only you can judge how you feel.
I tend to like to have some protein and vegetables with breakfast. When I'm eating eggs, that's easy, I have 2 egg vegetable omelets (usually with fruit on the side, and sometimes cottage cheese/greek yogurt or smoked salmon).
I also enjoy savory oats (will add cooked vegetables, an egg).
I'm in a smoothie phase right now, although I know they don't work for everyone. Today's is pre roasted winter squash (cold), half an avocado, protein power, some cashew milk, lots of spinach/kale (I used some of each, frozen), and strawberries (also frozen). Plus some water to get the right consistency.
I often enjoy leftovers for breakfast, and went through a stage where I was having salads with protein on them (that's more of a summer thing, but you'd think the smoothies would be too).
I tend to fixate on a breakfast and have it (or some version of it -- I change up the vegetables in my omelets, for example) for days or weeks at a time and then switch it up. Breakfast is not a meal I need that much variety at (vs. dinner).1 -
Adjusted fire this morning:
Onion - Onion, 89 grams
Tomatoes - Tomatoes, 83 grams
Generic - Bell Pepper - Orange, 226 g
Snowdon Bakery - Rye Bread (Pain De Seigle), 1 slice
Egg - Egg, 100 g
liberte - 0% vanilla greek yogourt, 126 milliliter
Black Diamond - Marble Cheese Stick, 1 stick 80g
1 olive oil - 1 Olive Oil, 0.5 tbs
Replaced the bacon with an orange Bell Pepper and added half a cup of greek yogourt. The quantity of food was much more due to the whole bell pepper, but my calorie count was about 250 cal less.
Let's see how long this lasts this morning.0
